Just to be totally gratuitous (yes, even more than I have been), I decided to go through and compile my favorite photos of Ella taken over the last half-year since she was born.

My dear friend Colleen (herself almost seven months pregnant with her first child) and husband Dirk were sweet enough to buy Sharon, Ella and I a photo shoot with her friend Lydia Daniller, an up-and-coming portrait, event and editorial photographer in San Francisco. (Bad enough that I'm such a photo junkie but now we have professionals involved, ha!)

A few weeks back, we all took a walk to Golden Gate Park and snapped off a ton of different shots which not only provided us with some really great family portraits (by far, some of the best we have) but we now actually have physical prints. Yeah, I'm rather embarrassed to admit it but up until now (today is Ella's 6 month b-day, by the way), we hadn't really printed out any of the gazillion photos I've taken. It's nice to have some actual prints in hand.

Anyways, loved Lydia - I'd very much recommend her to anyone in the Bay Area who needs portrait, family, etc. work done.
